Gone was a 15-point lead. Gone was the composure and patience that had built the lead. And, suddenly, a Yale men's basketball team that looked like it was going cruise to a win in the Ivy League opener was reaching for the panic button. Bulldogs coach James Jones had seen enough, calling a timeout when host Brown cut the lead to three points a little more than 2 minutes into the second half.

But instead of getting in the faces of his starters, Jones let them find their seats in the bench and calmly talked with his assistants. After 20 seconds of conversation, Jones stepped toward the bench.
