OLD SAYBROOK -- Police have charged a town woman with criminally negligent homicide stemming from the death a year ago of her fiance. Robert Durr, 56, died of a brain injury caused by an opiate overdose, according to the state medical examiner.
Durr was in a coma when he was taken by ambulance to the Middlesex Medical Center, Shoreline, in Essex on Dec 22, 2003. He died Jan. 26, without ever regaining consciousness, family members said.See the full content of this document
