Summary
I am steamed over Peter C. Schaumburg's self-centered and selfish whine concerning Am-trak trains blowing their horns and disturbing his peace. He places his tranquillity and, incredibly, that of pets and wildlife ahead of the lives of Amtrak workers! Why did he purchase a home near the railroad tracks? The tracks and the trains that run on them have existed since the middle 1800s, so nobody sneaked in and installed them after he moved there. Had he purchased a home near an airport or a home on a main road, would he complain about the noise and traffic?
The safety of the crews working on the rehabilitation project is far more important than the temporary disturbance of his serenity. He has the option of relocating, the tracks don't.See the full content of this document
