WEST HAVEN -- Not everyone is cut out to drive. Jean Stadolnik Daniele was one of those people. "She had gotten her permit, and one day she was driving and thought she saw my dad, whom she was dating at the time," said daughter Laura Daniele of West Haven. "She got nervous and crashed into a telephone pole. She never did get her license. She got around by walking, taking the bus and getting rides from people."
Daniele, who died Feb. 26 at age 67, also was one of those people who never gains a pound no matter how much they eat. Son Anthony Daniele of Bridgeport said his mother could wolf down three pounds of pasta at a sitting and never gain an ounce. Toward the very end of her life, she somehow managed to gain 10 pounds.
