SEYMOUR -- Valley Emergency Medical Services will appear before the Freedom of Information Commission on Sept. 30 to address alleged violations at a spring VEMS meeting. Seymour Ambulance Executive Director Frank Marcucio III has asked that a decision made at a May 20 VEMS board of directors meeting be voided, as he feels the agenda for the meeting was not adequately detailed and he was not provided 24-hour advance notice of the meeting.

At that meeting, VEMS President Jerry Schwab was given permission to function as a paramedic on emergency calls. The decision was discussed during the time allotted for "old business" on the agenda.
