EAST HAVEN -- John Anastasio had a mischievous sense of humor. "Whenever we went to the supermarket, everytime we got to the checkout stand, he'd tell the cashier, 'You'd better check her,' meaning me! I would die of embarrassment," said his daughter, Lisa Anastasio of Hamden. "He used to do the same thing with my cousins. He was hilarious at times, and would have people just about peeing their pants when he told a joke."
Anastasio, who died June 14 at age 75, also was the life of the party and a friendly guy, noted his son, Robert Anastasio of North Haven.See the full content of this document
