While negotiations between AT&T Inc. and Local 1298 of the Communications Workers of America drag on in Connecticut, the Texas telecommunications giant announced Tuesday that it has reached a tentative four-year agreement with the union in five states in the Southwest.
The tentative deal with the CWA in Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas covers 26,000 AT&T workers who are involved in the company's land-line phone service business and must still be ratified by union members, said Walt Sharp, an AT&T spokesman.See the full content of this document
