Brittany Hunter has nothing against cardiovascular workouts, she would never think of abusing a stationary bike or trashing a stairmaster. But earlier this week, when the junior center on the fifth-ranked University of Connecticut women's basketball team was told to go "do some cardio" in lieu of practicing with her teammates, it was almost too much to bear. Hunter's surgically- repaired right knee was clearly worse for wear when she tweaked something late in the first half in a Dec. 23 game against Oakland (Mich.) and hadn't been able to return to practice until Thursday. After going through drills again on Friday, Hunter is ready to return to action for today's 4 p.m. game against Tennessee.
