HARTFORD -- Gov. M. Jodi Rell said Thursday that Connecticut will send 35 state troopers to help with security at the Democratic National Convention in Boston later this month. Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney had asked for 100 Connecticut troopers to help with convention security, but Rell said it would be unwise to send that many to Boston at a time when state police manpower is below authorized levels.
