A Trick of a Tale; Donna Jean and Company Dead Set On New Music

Summary

Since the Grateful Dead died with Jerry Garcia, members have splintered and kept the spirit of the band alive through various projects. Featuring former Dead singer Donna Jean Thatcher (Godchaux) on vocals, former RatDog and Phil Lesh & Friends keyboard player Mookie Siegel, singer Wendy Lanter (Hope in Time) and the four members of the Zen Tricksters, Donna Jean and the Tricksters fuses primary and secondary sources, folks that lived the life with the Dead and the ones that try to do it now. The jam-band supergroup came together organically at, wouldn't you know it, a benefit for the Dead's Rex Foundation.
