Ashley Hilton was the centerpiece of a New Haven women's basketball team that won 24 games and the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference last season. Hilton, a 6-foot senior forward from Skowhegan, Maine, had a breakout season, averaging a shade under 17 points and nine rebounds. For her efforts, she was named the NYCAC player of the year and has earned preseason honors as the best player in the league now known as the East Coast Conference.
