We hope to approach the holiday tree and related festivities in the same manner. "Ikea's leadership was soon followed by the generous offer of the New Haven Register to serve as media sponsor to the event. The Long Wharf Merchants Association, particularly Gelato Giuliana and Terminal 110/ Keys to the City were next to join the team of Long Wharf merchants interested in providing support for the fireworks.''

Terminal 110/Keys to the City (in its new home in the Food Terminal at Long Wharf) will be hosting a fundraiser at its dueling piano bar and lounge June 18 from 5 to 9 p.m., with all profits benefitting New Haven's 4th of July celebration. The event will include food, beer and wine, local entertainment and a D.J. as well as the dueling pianos. The club will sell tickets for $25 in advance from its box office and on-line at ticketleap.com. (Search "New Haven fireworks fundraiser.")
