3 Teens From Other Districts Land in Hot Water Opening Day

Summary

SHELTON -- Three teens who "crashed" opening day at Shelton High School found themselves in a lot of trouble after they allegedly posed as students, rode the school bus and then, in two cases, escaped from custody. The three boys from other school districts were wandering around Tuesday morning because "they wanted to see what it was like, (at Shelton High School) " said police spokesman Detective Sgt. Michael Madden.

School Resource Officer Tom Federowicz discovered that the three boys -- 15-year-olds from New Haven and Ansonia, and a 14-year-old Derby resident -- were not students and apprehended them, taking them to Shelton police headquarters for processing.
