Mike Tarsi had never been to a New Britain Rock Cats game prior to this spring. As a kid growing up in Danbury, he got his minor league baseball fix by trekking to Yale Field to watch the New Haven Ravens. The Ravens, of course, no longer exist, sparing Tarsi an opportunity to utilize what was once one of the minors' great pitcher's parks. Turns out, New Britain Stadium, and the Eastern League for that matter, is treating him well.
Pitching in Connecticut for the first time since completing a standout career at UConn in 2007, Tarsi, a 6-foot-8 lefty, has been one of the most effective relief pitchers for the Rock Cats. He's 3- 0 with a 1.88 ERA and one save in 19 appearances.See the full content of this document
