NEW HAVEN -- The man accused of trying to abduct a Yale University student while she was jogging near East Rock Park Sunday morning told police he did it because he "wanted to hug her and kiss her," police said Monday. The man, speaking in Spanish, told police he did not intend to hurt the 25-year-old unidentified woman, police spokeswoman Bonnie Winchester said.
Police arrested Eric Sanchez, 21, of 95 Spring St. about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, although police did not release information about the arrest until Monday.See the full content of this document
