State Gets $1.9m for Cleanup

Summary


Two Connecticut communities and one regional organization will share $1.9 million in federal grant money to help assess, clean up and redevelop abandoned or contaminated properties.

The grants being given to Waterbury, Stratford and the Valley Council of Governments by the federal Environmental Protection Agency are part a $12.55 million pool of Brownfields funding that is being awarded to communities in New England.
