Summary
The Southern Connecticut State football team finally put forth one of those dominant first halves Saturday that became so familiar in 2005. The Owls buried winless St. Anselm 69-7 in the regular- season finale at Jess Dow Field before 1,866 on Homecoming Day. They led 48-0 at halftime, and the all of starters departed early in the third quarter.
Southern Connecticut (7-3, 7-2 in the Northeast-10 Conference) had plenty of these efforts during its seven-game winning streak to close out last year's regular season.
