Southern Defeats Merrimack

Summary


Junior first baseman Mo Davidson had two hits and four RBIs to lead a 22-hit attack as the Southern Connecticut State baseball team defeated Merrimack 14-2 in a Northeast-10 Conference game Wednesday at SCSU.

The Owls (25-15, 15-6) blew the game open with eight runs in the second inning. Anthony Fiorillo of New Haven started the rally with a homer. Nick Carlucci (5-2) earned the win with six innings of one- hit ball. Freshman Bryce Bjorklund of Branford pitched the final three innings for his third save.
