By Tim Jones The ski season this year has gotten off to a fabulous start. Many areas used a recent week of cold, dry weather to show off the power of their snowmaking systems, blowing lots and lots of wonderful white. And the snow has been better than you could imagine if you haven't gotten out on it.
So far, I've managed to ski at three New England ski areas. I opened my season Nov. 19 at giant Killington, which is, by all measures except vertical drop, the largest ski area in the East. Conditions were absolutely wonderful on "reopening day" with edge- to-edge coverage top to bottom, and it has opened a lot more terrain since.See the full content of this document
