Summary

Two Shelton Community Center custodians and a third man were arrested after police received a tip about drug activity there and saw an alleged drug transaction in the center's parking lot, police said Thursday. Detective Ben Trabka said supervisors at the 41 Church St. center became aware of the problem and notified police Wednesday. Police began an investigation and saw the alleged cocaine sale at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Trabka said.

Police Capt. Michael Madden said, "Thankfully, incidents of criminal activity of city employees are rare. However, both the community center staff and the Police Department were diligent in investigating and arresting the individuals involved.
