Summary
Efforts to find a replacement for Raymond Smith, the town's retiring director of public utilities, are nearing an end, the chairman of Public Utilities Commission said this week. David Gessert said he is looking to schedule interviews with six to eight candidates for the position next week, with a goal of having Smith's replacement selected by the end of next week. Smith is scheduled to retire in October after 26 years on the job.
"We're hoping to hone in (on) one or two people based on the interviews and then make a decision," Gessert said. "Then it's a matter of making an offer, finalizing an agreement and working out the details of when the person we select will be able to come here."See the full content of this document
