Scsu's Toles, Lee, Armstrong Honored

Summary


Tailback Brandon Toles, offensive tackle Brenden Lee and quarterback Steve Armstrong of Southern Connecticut State University have earned postseason football honors after leading the Owls to their second straight berth in the NCAA Division II championship playoffs. Toles was named to the New England Football Writers Division II-III All-New England team after setting a Southern season record for rushing yards. The junior gained 1,904 yards on 307 carries with 16 rushing touchdowns this season, breaking the Owls' previous mark of 1,639 yards by Rashaan Dumas in 1996.

Lee was a first team selection on the 2006 Daktronics Division II All-Northeast region team. Armstrong was a second team selection on the Daktronics All-Northeast Region team behind 2005 Harlon Hill Award winner Jimmy Terwilliger of East Stroudsburg.
