Rowland Back in State, Begins Home Confinement

Ex-Gov. John G. Rowland returned to his West Hartford rental home Monday afternoon and checked in with federal probation officials to begin his four months of post-prison home confinement. Rowland, 48, arrived home at about 3:45 p.m., accompanied by his wife, Patricia.

Looking thinner and somewhat greyer after more than 10 months in prison, Rowland told reporters he and his wife had spent "some quiet time" together over the weekend. He said he was "obviously very happy to be home."
