CLINTON -- Russell Marchant, a retired police sergeant major, suffered multiple broken bones when his motorcycle collided with a car pulling onto Cow Hill Road Sunday afternoon, police reported. Marchant, 52, a Harley-Davidson enthusiast, was riding his 1991 model north on Cow Hill Road when Olivia Schiess, 16, pulled out of her driveway at 100 Cow Hill Road and into his path, police said.

The crash left Marchant unconscious and suffering from multiple fractures, police said.
