Retired elementary schoolteacher Helen L. Eitler loved getting out and about. The family traveled up and down the East Coast. They always drove, and never flew.

"We were always driving somewhere," said son Frank Eitler of Lee, N.H. "She and my father, the late Francis Eitler, continued to do a lot of driving around New England in their later years. They just loved driving, and spent many Christmases with me and my family in New Hampshire."
