Just over seven years ago, Gordon Gallagher purchased a grave marker in Centerville Cemetery to honor his brother, Sgt. 1st Class John T. Gallagher, and to give peace to his mother, who could never come to grips with the loss of her favorite son, who was missing in action and presumed killed in Vietnam.
At some point next year, John Gallagher's family will return to Hamden for his memorial service, now that his remains have been positively identified by the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command.See the full content of this document
