The Katharine Matthies Foundation recently unveiled the recipients of nearly $900,000 in grants for 2007, which will benefit dozens of non profit organizations in the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
The grants, administered through Bank of America, are awarded on behalf of the late Seymour philanthropist Katharine Matthies. The foundation, established in 1987 following Matthies' death, provides money to tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations in Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Oxford, Seymour and Shelton.See the full content of this document
