OLD SAYBROOK -- Stanley Wollock would have spent his whole life fishing if he could, especially for swordfish. "In 1984, that was the last year we ever went swordfishing, because the fishing was getting sparse," said his oldest nephew, Edward Wollock of Deep River.
"We'd go out past Block Island, and one particular day we got two swordfish. He was ecstatic. He and I kept fishing right up until last August, but 1984 was the last time we went after swordfish."See the full content of this document
