Then, much like the tone of the Huskies' season, the inevitable became official record. Greenwood gave Calhoun a technical. West Virginia handed UConn its first loss of this campaign.

Whether the Mountaineers' abstract 1-3-1 zone or the fact that the Huskies did not play their first road game until almost the New Year attributed to the 81-71 setback Saturday at the West Virginia Coliseum, questions still persist for Calhoun's youngest team ever.
