Summary
Ask any of the many people using the Westville Station Post Office about the government's proposal to shut it down, and you'll hear plenty about how foolish is this notion. I chose Westville for my customers' survey rather than the four other New Haven area postal sites on the endangered list because I lived in Westville from 1987-1995, and I too am very devoted to the old place. I regularly walked down Fountain Street from my house, stopping in at the post office on my way to Westville Village.
Undoubtedly there are supporters of those other sites: Kilby Station on Washington Avenue in New Haven, the Trolley Square branch in East Haven, Baybrook Station in West Haven and the Mount Carmel Carrier Annex in Hamden.See the full content of this document
