Pianist Ronald Hawkins of East Haven, who is on a year-long concert tour, will present a lecture-recital "Johann Sebastian Bach's Unity between Man & His Creator: "The Goldberg Variations," Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Center Church-on-the-Green, 250 Temple St. Hawkins, who recently debuted at Carnegie Hall, will perform Bach's Variations in the concert portion of the program, which is a benefit for the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen. Free-will offerings will be accepted for that cause.

Hawkins is traveling throughout the U.S., Canada, England, Scotland, Hungary, Germany, the Czech Republic and Russia on this tour.
