HARTFORD -- Students are saving the environment one essay at a time and their bright ideas have been recognized. Winners were chosen in an essay contest sponsored by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund, the United Illuminating Co. and the Connecticut Light and Power Co.
Students were asked to write an essay to describe how to be more energy efficient in their daily lives, community and state. About 450 sixth-, seventh- and eight-graders statewide submitted essays.See the full content of this document
