While No. 6 seed Elena Dementieva overcame a tough second set to get a 6-1, 7-6 (8-6) win over American Ashley Harkleroad, No. 2 seed Daniela Hantuchova wasn't as fortunate against qualifier and rising star Agnes Szavay.
