Cl&P Gets Ok to Raise Rates; Regulators Approve Larger Increase Than in Draft Decision

Connecticut Light & Power Co. customers will see a larger increase in the transmission portion of their electric bills under a decision issued by state utility regulators Monday than they would have under a draft decision issued 10 days ago.

Monday's final decision by the Department of Public Utility Control will increase residential customers' bills by $3.65 per month starting Friday for those individuals using 700 kilowatt hours per month, according to the regulatory agency's calculations.
