Constellation Cruise Makes Stops in Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen

We were at the aft rail on the Resort Deck, the 10th of a dozen accessible to passengers and the home of the big buffet restaurant where breakfasts were mounted on Celebrity Cruise's newest ship, Constellation. At dock, the stern was facing the harbor and its forested islands. "What would you folks like in the background?" I asked, while simultaneously noticing the perfect choice. Another cruise ship, assisted by a tug, was slowly steaming up the channel toward its pier. "That'd be great," I added, gesturing.

They thanked me for the snaps, and I pondered the newcomer. It was a beauty, with classic lines, a dark hull and a white superstructure, and darned if it didn't look like the Queen Elizabeth 2. By the time I strolled back to my quarters on Deck 9, the Sky Deck, it was nearing its moorings and through binoculars -- a cabin amenity -- the name was clear; QE2 it was.
