OLD SAYBROOK -- The town intends to acquire another large tract of open space in the north end. Selectmen recently approved putting up $50,000 and joining the Old Saybrook Land Trust in applying for a $200,000 grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection toward buying the 51-acre Fairbank property off Ingham Hill Road.
