Summary
My heart goes out to the victims and their families of the Fort Hood shooting rampage. Although we await details of the investigation into the chilling occurrence, the finding most troubling to me was that the alleged assailant was both a physician and a Muslim. I am also a physician and a Muslim, belonging to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Over 100 years ago, our founder, who claimed to be the awaited Muslim Messiah, condemned any violence in the name of Islam. He further reaffirmed the Muslim teaching of loyalty to one's country.See the full content of this document
