Milford Man Charged in Pizza Parlor Fire

Summary


MILFORD -- A 56-year-old sometime transient Monday night allegedly tried to burn down a downtown pizza parlor that had been feeding him for free for years, police and witnesses said. Police and witnesses said Ralph Antonelli lit a bonfire of paper and leaves next to Franco's Pizza at 58 River St., likely with a lighter, after owner Franco Patrizi ejected him for foul language. Antonelli often comes in the restaurant for free meals, said Patrizi, a native of Italy.

"You know what they say, 'Don't bite the hand that feeds you?' That's what he does," Patrizi said Tuesday.
