Summary
Milford police arrested a Westport businessman Monday on charges that he defrauded a Milford mortgage company of nearly $60,000 over the course of several months. Wearing jeans, a blue sweatshirt and wire-rim glasses, Bruce Simmons, 46, of 6 Berkley Hill Road, appeared agitated during his arraignment Monday afternoon at Superior Court in Milford on a charge of first-degree larceny. His bail was set at $75,000.
It's not a first arrest for Simmons, apparently a career white- collar criminal whose record, police say, includes numerous convictions for crimes such as passing bad checks, fraud and obstructing justice in several states.See the full content of this document
