Summary
A series of related residential burglaries in Orange and Woodbridge have authorities asking residents to take extra measures to secure their homes as investigators work to find out who is behind the break-ins and thefts. Seven separate midday burglaries have occurred in each town since July 1, for a total of 14 incidents, police said. Both Orange and Woodbridge police say that the burglaries are related, and they are working together, along with state police in Bethany, to find the perpetrators.
In Orange, Assistant Chief of Police Edward Koether said burglars have entered homes during the daylight hours, usually through an open window or door.
