A Derby gun battle that began with a smashed beer bottle has netted one of the shooters three years in prison. Police said Keyshon Zimmerman, 20, of West Haven, was one of two men who exchanged gunfire on Anson Street March 29, striking parked cars and houses with bullets.
On Thursday, Zimmerman pleaded no contest to charges of attempted first-degree assault and criminal possession of a firearm at Superior Court in Milford.
