Man Gets 3 Months in Child Porn Case

Summary


A Branford man was sentenced to three months in prison Friday followed by three months of home confinement for possessing child pornography, U.S. Attorney David B. Fein said in a statement. Michael Holm, 32, of Oak Street, also was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to five years of supervised release after his home confinement, Fein said.

According to documents and statements made in court, on May 29, 2008, agents with the Connecticut Computer Crimes Task Force searched Holm's home and seized a computer, which had 150 to 300 images of child pornography.

Man Gets 3 Months in Child Porn Case

Holm pleaded guilty Dec. 9, 2010, to one count of possession of child pornography.

Holm will be required to register as a sex offender, and the U.S. Probation Office is authorized to monitor his computer use and conduct random searches of his home, vehicle and workplace.
