Madison Selectmen Ok Funds for School Utilities

Summary


As expected, the Board of Selectmen Monday approved a nearly $250,000 special appropriation for the school system to cover the higher costs of electricity and natural gas through June 30.

However, at least one selectman, Charles Walz, said the Board of Education had better be prepared with a solid case to defend the increases it's proposing in its 2006-07 budget.
