Robert Lee Cox loved Motown music. "On Saturdays, my dad and I would take out his old albums and play them and sing along and dance around the room," said his only child, Wanda Cox, in Massachusetts. "I was 10 or 11 at the time. One of his favorite groups was the Spinners, and there was one Spinners album that we would play over and over again. He had no voice, but he gave it all he had. Anytime I hear that music now, I automatically think back to those days."
