Every Sunday afternoon, Mimi Lines of North Haven forgets for a while that she's a relatively shy commercial real estate lawyer who spends her days paying excruciating attention to detail, and heads to the Neighborhood Music School where she is transformed into a cabaret singer. It's there, standing up in front of an audience, that she finds herself through belting out torch songs and crooning ballads.
