Summary


I am in agreement with letter writer Mark E. Haney about synchronizing traffic lights in New Haven. I'd like to attach a figure to what he is talking about. Over 25 years ago, my wife and I arrived in Connecticut. My wife worked in Woodbridge Hall on Wall Street and I worked at Yale School of Medicine. Being frustrated with the amount of time spent at red lights, I measured it.

Over the course of one week, I spent 25 minutes waiting for red lights on my daily trips to drop off my wife in the morning and to pick her up in the evening.
