Stan Muzyk's warning of potential vandalism to the 100-year-old fountain if it were moved to the Derby Greenway has great merit. In addition to that possibility, relocating it from its present site, where it has been for over a century, to the walk adjacent to commercial surroundings seems inappropriate. The present location is visible for all to enjoy. It is also a feature of the very interesting and successful program "A day in 1762," where all grammar school children experience what life was like in Colonial times.
It would be better to erect a new modern fountain at the walk.See the full content of this document
