Letter to the Editor: Feds, State Shortchanging Milford Schools

Summary

The next time Milford citizens see Larry Schaefer, the acting superintendent of schools, thank him for speaking out for the children of Milford in respect to what is needed to properly run our school system and just as importantly keep the buildings safe, neat and up to date. It seems a lot of people want to place all the blame on our Board of Education, I believe it is doing what it can with what it has to work with. Using the numbers Schaefer stated, our federal shortfall is about $15.2 million and even more sickening a state shortfall of about $36 million.
