New York has rejected the Broadwater floating liquefield natural gas terminal proposed for Long Island Sound as inconsistent with New York's Coastal Management Act, Connecticut Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz and Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said Wednesday night.

New York Gov. David A. Paterson is expected to announce the decision at 2 p.m. today in Long Island, said Bysiewicz after getting the news from New York Secretary of State Lorraine Cortes- Vazquez.
