Keep taxing wealthy companies Businesses with millions in sales can afford state's $250 entity tax.
Gov. Jodi M. Rell has proposed no tax increases for the coming year. But she has proposed a tax cut: the elimination of the business entity tax. The $250 tax is paid by businesses such as limited liability corporations that are not subject to the 7.5 percent corporation tax. More than 100,000 businesses pay the tax, which generates about $32 million in revenue annually.See the full content of this document
